| For the birthday of Kerstin, as for the reason we made a lovely daytrip to the Castle Eltz, |
|
which is the most beautiful and never destroyed Castle here in Rhineland Palatinaes. It is located along the River Mosel and in private hand now within the 33th generation.
Todays it is used as a museum and there are guided tours in up to four languages. Later one we enjoyed a delicious piece of cake and really good cup of coffee at the town of Cochem which has a beautiful and lovel Old Town with lots of cafe and restaurants open for a rest. On our way back we enjoyed the lovely scenery of the Mosel Valley itself which is a real must to vist in case you should ever come into this area. Sad the spring is just starting slowly this year and therefor the pictures we have taken do not appear that beautiful as they could be taken during summer.
Overall we had a great day together and the benefit of getting familiar with this area again to be able to show it friends from OZ coming over later this year for a catch up with us.
And we really do hope that they will enjoy all things we have to offer here within the "Old World".
Cheers, Michael
